Hello, My name is Myrna, I have been with The Standifer Insurance Group since 2011. I feel like I have been in the insurance world my entire life; because my father and brothers have all sold insurance at one time or another, so it was just a natural transition into my second career, once my 2 children graduated from High School. Even though I wear many hats here at the agency which I truly enjoy, one of my main goals stays the same: to help our customers make sure their insurance needs are met and they are completely satisfied with our services. I have 3 standard poodles: Abby, Bear, and Jackie – who I say are my, “4 legged children that don’t talk back” and their little side kick, Smudge our orange rescue cat. My favorite vacation place is anywhere at the beach and my dream is to travel to Thailand and Italy, hopefully within the next 5 years. I grew up in the Pell City area and now live in Trussville. I’m a huge Auburn Tigers fan and love all things water sports. When I’m not working, you can usually find me out on Logan Martin Lake cruising on my pontoon boat.

Outside of work, I’m an animal lover through and through—I have four fur-babies (three cats and a yellow lab mix) who mean the absolute world to me. I also have a deep appreciation for art, whether it’s painting, visiting the Birmingham Museum of Art, or simply taking in creative works. On the weekends, you’ll likely find me at home, relaxing with a good movie or TV show.

I was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but grew up in Helena, Alabama. I joined Standifer Insurance Group in September 2024, bringing experience in auto claims, employee benefits, life insurance, and personal lines property and casualty.

What excites me most about my role is that no two customers are the same—I love getting to know people and providing custom-tailored insurance solutions to fit their needs.

Outside of work, my world revolves around my wife, our two Golden Retrievers, and our soon-to-arrive baby girl—I can’t wait to become a dad! I’m also an avid sports fan, cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Atlanta Braves, Liverpool FC, New Orleans Saints, and Colorado Avalanche.

A little-known fact about me? I’m one belt away from earning my black belt in taekwondo—a goal I’ve been working toward for three years!

When I’m not at work, you’ll likely find me grilling out, enjoying live music, working out at the Greystone YMCA, spending time outdoors, or at church.
